You'd be very surprised at how disparate many Sicilians are. They've been colonized by many peoples, after all, from Greeks, Arabs, Normans, Ostrogoths, north Africans, French, Spanish, and Byzantines.
I've lived in Sicily for years. I've also visited northern Italy. I won't say they look exactly the same, but they are similar. In other words, you can tell they're all Italian, from north to south.

Generally speaking, northern Italians are a little more Austrian/Swiss-looking, while southern Italians are more Levantine. This is a gross generalization, of course. There are many outliers.
