Why are kleptos the way they are?

Lots of people steal when they actually need shit, but a klepto, they can't help but stealing the most pointless shit. When my brother was young, he stole random weird shit from hardware stores. Steals from walmart, random nick nacks. Takes random pens, salt shakers, medications, wine openers. Wtf is wrong with this nigga?

im not a klepto but there was a phase when i was 14 where i would compulsively shoplift the most mundane things from places like walmart. things like pastries, candy, batteries - small time shit.

i could afford the stuff but once you start the thrill is addicting. every time you stepped foot out of the store with your ill gotten gains it felt like you had beat 10 counts of murder.

obviously i quit being a little faggot after two weeks and stopped because i wanted to get out while i was ahead on the mega corps otherwise i would have ended up with a criminal record
