in many areas besides dating, looks are still important. whether if its a work environment or law, looking good makes things easier. however politics seems to be the only area where this is not the case, just look at 90 percent of world leaders, most of them look like shit. why?

The general public is largely made out of short or average height balding men, yet they don't have confidence in other short or average balding men leading them in politics. The majority of men vote for tall men with a full head of hair to lead them.

I do agree that facially, run-of-the-mill state politicians generally look ugly. But that might just be because most of them are 50+ years old and simply don't care about their appearance.

Also, in corrupt countries without fair elections, whoever has the most money has the most ability to corrupt other politicians into supporting them as leaders. These men are rarely if ever good looking, they just happen to be the ones with the most money. Most rich old men are ugly.

I think all that matters are traits that show power like height, frame, full head of hair and having a face that's not too horrible to look at.
