It's just that social media is a lot more fast paced nowadays, TikTok and it's equivalent apps have videos that r all 5-10 seconds while like yt videos and such were all minutes long

You are not taking into account versatility. Ugandan knuckles was about VR jesters that used the accent in multiple ways, they weren’t just spamming “do you know the way”. Today’s memes are only funny in one setting or one instance no versatility
