Actually not true the only time middle eastern people have expanded into European territories as well as South Asia and Central Asia was during Islam.

When Islam spread it was the only time in history the Middle East was more powerful than Europe and China and it lasted for about 500 years before mongols ruined it and the Christian’s were able to explore the new world
