I don't think they're self-hating, I've never been to India but Pakistani, Arab and other muslim women are proud of their heritage but i still don't think Indian muslim women are self-hating. What makes you say such a thing?

Its not that they are super self hating to the point where they despise themselves.
Its like they are reluctant to reveal that they are muslim. Not all girls in the south, most 50-50 in the south.
in the north, its more so 80-20, with 80 not wanting to reveal.

I don’t know where did you get that assumption but I'm from a muslim country and I barely see any self-hating girls. Even if they are it has nothing to do with Islam. Maybe muslim girls in western countries are self-hating because mostly the people around them see them differently.
