So first of all, let me start by saying that Finasteride is a highly safe and effective drug.

Let me also say that Finasteride/Dutasteride are the only treatments we have to actually STOP the progression of Androgenetic alopecia.
All other tools - Minoxidil, Dermarollers etc. - only work as stimulants and as secondary treatments.

Even if one gets a hair transplant - without getting on Finasteride - balding will catch up to him and there will never be enough donor hair to cover an entire scalp.
