While 30% use them for entertainment and 28% from curiosity, concerning patterns emerged: one-third discuss serious matters with AI instead of real people, 24% share personal information, and 34% felt uncomfortable with AI responses.
Common Sense Media recommends no one under 18 use AI companions until stronger safeguards exist.
