Why are people here so autistic about who's white and who's not?

I've had at least a handful of people tell me I look hispanic or middle eastern and barely pass as white in DMs. Meanwhile I went to a South American country and every single person assumed I was a whiteboy gringo as soon as they saw me. Why are people so autistic about all these phenotypes and autistic features. You're either white to normies or you're not.

i 100% pass as white. nobody has ever assumed otherwise outside of people on this forum. "muh you look hapa bro. muh are you turkish? are u hispanic?" meanwhile people irl all say im white without any hesitation.
