i seriously dont understand the appeal to being rude to others, it has only negatives for the perpetrator and the perpetrated

even in an egoist scenario being kind is much more favorable, as people will treat u better in return, and u never have to deal with negative feeling of regret after hurting someones feelings

u will seriously live a much greater life if u stop being rude to others and start acting with virtue and longer-term thinking

i will start being much kinder

Unfortunately in many cases kindness is viewed as a weakness, but yes I agree with your post

rude people are usually really insecure and they do it without realizing or they just have some sort of autism/aspergers. From my experience. I haven't met a high iq dude that would be a rude guy

Agreed to all of this. Rudeness is always, literally always, some kind of projection of one's own insecurities. A phenomenon I find interesting is that when someone is acting rude in a group setting, for example to the 'new guy' in a group, it's often the case that the perpretator is themself insecure about their standing in the group or their own sense of belonging.
