I don't get it, so many people are actually obsessed with their race. And no, I'm not talking about this small circle on the internet, just day-to-day. Indians wanting to whiten their children, blacks wanting to date black lighter skin girls, or take pride when they have sex with a white girl. People preferring a certain race over others. It's like we as humans naturally divide ourselves on race, when you see a person you say "Oh, he's white. Oh he's black. Oh he's Hispanic. Oh he's Asian." you don't say "Oh another human being, another person like me." Just something to think about So many people in my day-to-day life always assume what my race is, like somewhere between the conversation they want to know what my ethnic and national background is, the relevance of it really escapes me. The obsession with race seems to be an innately human thing. I still don't understand why people care so much though.
