Why are people taller today if diets are worse

Idk how this can be explained. Also why did our ancestors have such developed faces while being shorter due to diet. It doesn't make sense how we're taller now because of diets while at the same time have more facial development problems because of diet

it's an interesting phenomenon: Even today, shorter people usually have more defined, angular faces and a lot of tall people suffer either from horse faces or just being chopped

As long as you get protein and remains in surplus your height is not getting stunted no matter how garbage your diet is. Micronutrients like zinc, vitamin D, calcium, magnesium do play a role but they aren't as important as protein and calories
