Why are Romans seen as superior to Germanic Tribesmen by Normies??

I have seen so many NT historyfags who call Romans "superior sophisticated and intellectual Geniuses" and Germanics as "stupid forest barbarians with no sense of morals"

Why is that ?
The general lifestyle of some Germanic tribes in that time sound ideal to me.
I will make a tldr of some points in Tacitus's "Germania" and NOT some ((modern studies))) describing the society from 2 000 years ago

• Being Honorable and being a good Warrior were the top principles
• "I think Germanic people are in no way mixed with other ethnicities and folks"
• "They all tend to look the same: red-blonde hair; defiant blue eyes and colossal bodies which were made for war"
• No hedonism, pretentionism or (obvious) social classes
• No currencies (no jewish people); only cattle was of real worth (They knew currencies, silver and gold existed tho)
• They dont even have much iron for weapons; They just make wooden spear and Javelins and put a small piece of iron on it; and they also only wear hide pants and are oftenly naked around the torso
• Roman Generals have reported that they Germanics are extremly dangerous with those spears because they tend to have the strength to throw them very accurately 30 metres far away with enormous power
• The Kings are born but can easily be overthrown; Counts only elected by their Bravery. King still listens to all the men in the tribes for advice and doesnt overrule them
• If they were about to lose the fight and retreated, their women exposed their breasts to them to remind them what would happen if they get enslaved by the enemies, quickly boosting the fighting morale again
• Slut-shaming; women are held chastity and they are barely allowed to visit feasts and other entertainments to not spoil them (extremly based)
• "Eventhough they are so many people, adultery rarely happens"
• If Adultery happens; they woman is instantly stripped off of all clothes and her hair is cut short; the husband will chase her through the whole village with a whip while her relatives are watching and she will be marked for life and can not marry anymore
• "The mothers take care of all their numerous kids herself and not to maids like in Rome" (also might be a hint for breastfeeding)
• They are somehow forbidden/hindered to masturbate but Tacitus didnt say how
• The rivalries and enemies need to be inherited but can be atoned by exchange of cattle
• High Hospitiality
• "Promptly after their sleep, which they oftenly exceed deep into midday ...." (lmao rotters)
• Diet: Mead, water, apples, pears, loans/sloe, nut, berries, cheese , fresh meat (mostly game), Milk and cream, they dont proccess their foods and dont spice

Down side might be that they were overly spiritual, even before fights they would rather listen to their horses neigh than actual stratetic and tactical thinking

I have read a good deal of roman history. At first I had that notion that most people have- that germans were just dumb monkeys while the romans were the advanced perfect civilization. But after learning about the germanic tribes I have nothing but respect and love for them.


That idea exists because the Romans did a lot of engineering, art and whatever that the germans didn't. I don't think the Germans are inferior in any way it's just that they didn't care about that stuff. They were natural born warriors, they loved to fight (jfl at the idea that whites are the "weak" race). They spent a small time of their day hunting and the rest playing games with each other and fighting for sport. They were truly free and rejected the monotone city life of the Romans. All they did was care for each other play games and hunt. They were also formidable warriors and virtually every empire hired them as mercenaries and such.


They were also very virtuous and noble especially the Goths. When the Goths took Rome they left it untouched. This is impressive if you take into account their ideological differences and how much they fought. For instance when the ottomans took Constantinople they destroyed everything and murdered countless people for no reason. The Goths then went on to rule Rome better than any Roman emperor in hundreds of years under Theodoric the Great who was one of the best rulers ever in my opinion. Not to mention how they ruled the iberian peninsula before they were invaded by the disgusting moors.

The Germanic peoples are the heart and soul of Europe. They were nomads and spread throughout the whole continent. I think they had a lot of influence in pretty much every kingdom in the middle ages
