Most sports favor tall people - the bigger and stronger you are, the better you will do in that sport, there are however several sports where shorter people should have an advantage like horse racing or Formula 1, where a lower weight can give you an edge, but guess what happens in this case: they add weights to the horse or the car so everyone starts at pretty much the same weight. I've read in a recent article that they want to do the same thing with motorcycle races.
Why doesn't it happen the other way around, why aren't tall or strong people handicapped in the same way so that shorter guys should have an equal chance, you almost never see short people in basketball for example, at least they could modify the sport and bring the hoop lower to the ground...

Because each sport is catered to display the human physical ability at its extreme. How would it be fun to watch a match that you knew could be way better? Throw away that blue pilled point of view and see reality for what it is.

this is also why ppl who are militantly anti doping are idiots.

if everyone were actually clean in pro sports they'd be so boring no one would watch it. sportsmen are our gladiators of today, pushing the human body to its extremes.

They care too much about this idea of being natural. But legit allowed a guy with no legs to participate in the olympics. I agree 100% that sports should be more extreme, but still respect the rules of the game.

They are handicapping short people in sports where being short is an advantage, but they aren't doing the same thing in sports where being tall is an advantage, does this seem right to you?

I already said: horse racing, motorcycle racing, Formula 1, etc.
In Formula 1, the driver, his seat and equipment must weigh at least 80 kg, if he's lighter they must add weights.

Oh like manlet basketball where the maximum height is 5.8 and minimum is 4.11 jfl

For basketball I already proposed to change the rules, and move the hoop lower to the ground, this way the height advantage will disappear and the game will rely purely on skill.

This is the definition for sport: an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
The sports that handicaps short people are mostly sports that you ride or drive. There is no physical exertion to the extreme, it's just them controlling something else for entertainment like e sport.
They are in a category of their own so I think the true purpose behind their existence is different to real sports.
This might justify why there's a handicap rule for short people.

Pretty sure gymnasts tend to be short.
