Lots of sexual deviants have a higher than normal likelihood of becoming priests. I’m talking about pedos, gays, etc. Because most normal men would just rather get a wife, it’s rare for a straight man to voluntarily choose to be an unmarried celibate their entire life in honor of faith. Still, there are lots of those, most priests are genuine.

But the sexual deviants don’t see the appeal in getting a wife, and since they’ve been brought up in very religious communities, the alternative to not getting married is joining the church. Perhaps they cope that by choosing the way of religious celibacy they can seal away their deviant desires and live a respectable life. But after many years of repression, many of them give in to the temptations.
