My ex was like this, she had a thing for the “ugly hot” guy. Think Adam Driver or Dev Patel or Jeremy Allen White.
The reason is that she had low self esteem and these guys felt more attainable in her mind.
The thing was she still liked typical “hot guys” it’s just that her low self esteem made it so she couldn’t allow herself the fantasy’s of being with these kinds of men.
I know this because I’m a typical “hot guy” and she was constantly insecure about how much I mogged her and how easily I could find another woman.
