Ever since I started following politics, my life has not improved at all and I have not made any different decisions in day-to-day stuff based on the news.
Politics is just a more "realistic" TV series, and a way to mog other people based on their opinions. The Nordic Chad "Yes" meme became so popular precisely because that is what politics-junkies see themselves as when they own someone on Twitter.

And you are right, Chad does not care, he only cares about work, holidays, foids and maybe some sports.

Yeah, but unfortunately it is hard to come off it, as you are worried that you may miss out on something crucial. All it has done is polarise society and make me more suspicious of people IRL, as in "Is that person the same person posting X on twitter behind a pseudonym"
