social media = more attractive people post themselves, opposite for unattractive people. So the ratio is unstable.
real life = no such choice. the rarity of seeing attractive people is evident as the data will be raw.

because attractive people garner more attention, hence social media videos featuring attractive individuals will get higher retention. also more attractive people are more likely to post due to higher self confidence
