They don't a lot of ukrainians can have up to 60% steppe, while the russians you are talking about are volga tartars who tend to score anywhy from 50-70%. Most russians don't score this high only about 20-30% on average.

This is what i got, the russians seem to have one more genetic component from the eastern sycthian people, which i guess makes sense why some russian's can have higher steppe than most ukrainians.
fr, i live in Europe and sometimes see groups of nt ukranians who literally acting like monkeys, you don’t understand what they saying, they are loud and always shouting, dressing like skaters, also if you talk to them you can here this stupid accent, even russians have better accent then them
Yk yesterday I found out that PIE ancestry doesn't come from yamnaya but from forest steppe people north further up in russia who went down to create CWC.

I knew that already, it's the pontic-caspien steppe the comes from the ymanaya, which the Ukrainians have in a slightly higher amount. But some russians have additional genetic component from some other ethnic group, probably the one you are talking about which can sometimes result in steppe ancestry being as high as 60% percent in some groups.
