Why are Vegans so hated?

Like I understand they are like annoying and act like they have 4 braincells left in their head, but like, I don't really understand how what they are saying is necessarily wrong.

I'm probably going to eat meat until I die because the vegan alternatives are garbage (like soy), but their message of not wanting to kill animals for no reason doesn't really seem bad to me.

Even if someone is just talking about veganism, they get clowned almost immediately but like they didn't really say anything wrong.

People don't seen to truly understand that meat comes from animals. Like if you buy a rotisserie chicken but then let it rot in your fridge, most people think "Damn, I just wasted my rotisserie" but you essentially just killed an animal for no reason.

In fact, if I gave a gun to the average person and told them to blow the brains out of some random pig or cow, many people would feel uncomfortable doing that, even though that's the only way to get meat.

Ohh, that makes sense I guess, but if people don't try to become vegan anyways there won't be any technological innovation to prevent this though. Kind if like how we know how to make salt water drinkable, it just isn't cost effective enough or have enough demand yet (until fresh water runs out).
