Black men have better stereotypes overall, even if they have pretty bad reputation too. It's seen as more normal to date black men than an ethnic. You hardly would have seen white/ethnic couples portrayed in media growing up (at least IME) but white/black couples were still seen here and there. I remember in middle and high school, white girls were okay dating black guys but they'd never even look in the direction of an ethnic. Granted, my school barely had ethnics; however, I did ask some of these white girls, and they said they'd never date say an Indian guy. This was well before TikTok and such became a thing with people people ranking Indians as the race they'd least likely date. Anyways, this is just my experience growing up in the Southeastern US.
