I was extroverted as a kid, but I became 'quiet and introverted' in my teenage years. Probably due to experiences like this and similar.

I can still fraud extroversion now though, but takes a lot of energy.

I'm very quiet mainly because it's just hard for autists to verbalize their thoughts.
