It's not half true. If you are below 5'10 barefoot in afternoon you are fucked. Obviously if you look like Alain Delon at 5'8 you aren't going to have issues but we are not talking about outliers. The average guy isn't at that level nor is he capable of getting there so he's screwed for life because he's a manlet. 5"10 is where a lot of mablets get away with it without height having any real negative effect on them. 5'9 and below all know too well how brutal it is.
I am 174/5'8.5 and I legit feel like a dwarf when I go out.
