1. We know how to party

Speaking of parties, gay people know how to throw a good one. From drag shows to Pride parades, we know how to have a good time. Straight people, on the other hand, are so boring when it comes to parties. A potluck dinner with a game of charades? No thank you! As a gay person, you can expect to be invited to the most fabulous parties, with the best food, drinks, and entertainment.
We know how to laugh at ourselves and make light of even the most serious situations. Straight people, on the other hand, can be so uptight and serious all the time. Lighten up, straight people!

2. Better Music

Being gay means we get to be a part of a community that is rich in culture and history. We have our own language, our own music, and our own fashion. We’ve been through some pretty tough times, but we’ve come out on the other side stronger and more united than ever. There’s something pretty special about being a part of that.
Gay people know how to party, and we have the best music to dance to. From Madonna to Lady Gaga, our music is infectious and always gets people on the dance floor. Straight people, on the other hand, have to suffer through boring top 40 hits and country music. Yikes!
An important addition to music is the fact that gay are much better dancers than their hetero counterparts.

3. Fashion is on point

Have you ever seen a gay man walk down the street looking anything less than fabulous? I didn’t think so. When you’re gay, you learn from a young age that fashion is a form of self-expression, and we take that very seriously. Our closets are filled with everything from Prada to H&M, and we know how to put it all together in a way that would make Tim Gunn proud.
Let’s be real, gay people have the best fashion sense. We know how to dress to impress, and we’re not afraid to take risks with our fashion choices. Straight people, on the other hand, are so boring when it comes to fashion. Khakis and a polo shirt? Yawn! As a gay person, you can wear whatever you want, and you’ll always look fabulous.

4. No gender roles

Speaking of downsides, let’s talk about gender roles. When you’re gay, you don’t have to worry about conforming to any gender roles. We can both be masculine, both be feminine, or somewhere in between. There’s no pressure to fit into any sort of box, and that’s a pretty freeing feeling.
You can be whoever you want to be and love whoever you want to love. Straight people are so restricted by gender norms and expectations. Men are supposed to be tough and macho, while women are supposed to be delicate and feminine. As a gay person, you can be as masculine or as feminine as you want, and nobody will judge you for it.

5. No accidental pregnancies

Being gay means we don’t have to worry about any of that awkward fumbling around that comes with being with someone of the opposite sex. We know exactly what we want and how to get it.
One of the greatest things about being gay is that you don’t have to worry about accidentally getting pregnant. Can you imagine how stressful it must be to constantly worry about getting someone pregnant? As a gay person, you never have to worry about that. You can have all the sex you want without any of the consequences. It’s like having all the benefits of sex without any of the downsides.
