Why Caribbean and African Women do this ?

Was watching a face Iq video and he was saying women mostly go for traits that are beneficial to help with survival such as : thicker eyes signaling more test, longer lashes to filler out sand and longer ramus for more bite force, this all makes sense but why then do women in African and Most Caribbean countries tend to go more for lighter skinned men even tho dark-skinned men or more suited/better survival for the climate ?
