Chinese people are inherently mercantile and capitalist, Chinese Communism in a practical sense was a deviation from inherent Chinese economic characteristics. The reason why China was able to transition successfully into capitalism is because Chinese people are innately capitalist.
Russians and Koreans are innately inclined towards economic collectivism, South Korea's hyper-capitalism is forced, not innate. The Soviet Union failed at transitioning towards capitalism because Slavs with the exception of the Balkan ones are innately economic collectivists.
Chinese people are innately capitalistic and mercantile, this is why Chinese people are genuinely happier than Koreans and Russians and have lower suicide rate. Russians and Koreans are deprived of the opportunity to live out their innate economic character.
Japan's high suicide rate is due to social problems rather than economic dissastisfaction.
Iranians, Chinese, and Germans are the ultimate national corporatists of the world.
Modern China is closer to Chiang Kai-Shek's ideal of China than it is to Mao Zedong's ideal of China.
