Why compare female SMV to male SMV

Sure, a woman can easily get sex from men but so can a gay man. It's not unusual for gay men to have hundreds or even thousands of sexual partners (but they are all men). So by that standard, you can say a gay man has higher SMV than the average woman.

Since straight men and straight women have different sexual strategies, then it's not an apple to apple comparison.
