not much of profit for probably most taxing exercise
there are more muscles engaged in a deadlift than a squat, or most other compounds for that matter, so ofcourse, that's also why it's the best movement for athletic performance, sprinters, jumpers and swimmers specifically train it for this reason, they make your legs strong without making them big.

I don't have wrist straps and my gym has a chalk ban. So when I do deadlifts, my grip strength is my limiting factor. So my arms are actually getting bigger more than my back and even my quads from deadlifts. Because the weakest muscle in a compound lift gets the most stimulus. And the strongest muscle (back and lower body) gets the least stimulus.

most taxing in what respect? it's like the only exercise where you can make continuous progress doing 1 heavy set per week. "but muh central nervous system fatigue!" utter bullshit.

I deadlift 600 pounds. It improved my life by exactly 0.0%. It brings massive size to your entire back (including upperback) and legs. But again it doesnt improve your life at all, unless you are into men.

To destroy retarded gymcels' spines with meme lifts, because fat bloated spergs on the internet told them they needed to do deadlifts and squats. That's basically it. There is no legitimate purpose to doing that exercise.
