WHY IS “WATER RETENTION/BLOAT” TECHNICALLY OUT OF REASONABLE CONTROL FOR MOST PEOPLE?

To preface, water retention is almost entirely determined by 1. genetics (where your body tends to hold fluid, primarily determined by the gene KLF14) and 2. carbohydrate intake (4 grams per ml of water)

The only “debloat” that works without modifying your hormones like aldosterone is to go carnivore, or drink obscene amounts of water so your body doesn’t feel the need to hold on to any, which will deplete your electrolytes and impair muscle function.

WHAT IS MORNING BLOAT AND HOW CAN YOU GET RID OF IT?

Morning bloat is nothing like the tiktokcels describe bloat (water retention in the face). Morning bloat is an accumulation of lymphatic fluid due to a lack of muscle contractions to pump it throughout the body.

Now that we know what causes morning bloat, how can we get rid of it?

As I mentioned before, muscle contractions are responsible for pumping lymphatic fluid throughout your body. You may notice reduced soft tissue volume behind your gonion after lifting, which is a staple of how muscle contractions can “debloat” you.

Obviously most people don’t have time to hit the gym every morning just to debloat for the day, but there is actually a much more effective method that takes only 5 minutes and won’t even change your morning routine.

Assuming everyone here showers before school/work as you SHOULD BE DOING, if you don’t dry off immediately after and let your body shiver (repeated muscular contractions throughout your ENTIRE BODY) your lymphatic fluid will seemingly DISSAPEAR ENTIRELY eviscerating the puffy face and looser hyoid that becomes apparent after waking up.

Thanks for reading and stop coping with potassium and water (doing more harm than good)

No because the lymphatic fluid is everywhere in your body and if there’s no space for it to move then it can’t drain

at 2 weeks all of the water retention differences should be gone as you fully deplete your glucose stores
