Are the current clothes we have inevitable? E.g wearing belts, certain styles of shoes, jackets, hats, why did it end up in history predominately males wearing certain things and females wearing other certain things? Is it for biological reasons? I mean sure, dresses maybe cause tits, but surely like a belt is not biologically bounded or boots. Or are the things we have reflective of societal positions?

I think they reflect utility and function.
Fineas jackson has a series called “Chasing beauty” on youtube consisting of shorts that explain the many intricacies of clothes.
Take a look at the trench coat for example.
It was designed to hold grenades and ammunition for soldiers, amongst other things.

The tie came from croatian mercenaries who had scarves around their necks to hold together their clothes.
People thought it looked cool and now we have ties.

Heels to make short women taller.
Strawhats to shield from the sun.
Shoes to protect the feet.

So on.

in this case we can easily talk into the fact that women didn’t have the need for heavy boots, practical workwear or trench coats.

Not sure where the dress comes from

Victorian women used corsets because a slim waist was attractive.
This made women inclined to wear corsets.
A wide and ballooning dress was also seen as something cool for women.
Shoulder pads to accentuate the figure was used in both genders.

Eureka!
Clothes partly exist to accentuate the sexual features in women. Breasts, hips, waist, (feet??), maybe cinderellas shoe is a convoluted example of foot fetishism.

Then doesnt it imply that, crosdressers or people not wearing the clothes that the gender they conform to, find pleasure in the non-conformity in and of itsel,f and not neccessarily liking the article in question? E.g if women wore say item X, irrespective of the look of item X they would like to wear it, because item x is associated with a different gender?

Make shorter. Sentence pls

Sure.
Sounds reasonable. Not sure why you’re asking.. - it’s a bit of a tangent.
What you’re describing is basically Meads role taking theory.
People who find themselves in a position or want a certain position, take steps to align mentally and ohysically with that role.
So in the case of crossdressers (wanting to be women), they would fulfill the role of being a woman by crossdressing.
