if you guys didn't know balding is considered a cosmetic defect just like being a burn victim for example, so if evolution selects for the best traits then why did it prefer it som much to the point of 85 % of men experience hairloss, doesn't help with survival nor sexual selection

Cause people often reproduced before balding

im not educated but my guess is testosterone causes it over time because humans are not meant to live as long as we do, in the stone age we lived shorter so maybe we werent built to last if that makes sense

im not sure dont get me wrong

probably as it’s not harmful to survival, happens later in life (after reproduction) and evolution doesn’t necessarily mean perfection

With age u get more “androgenic alopicia = more sensitive to DHT
Caused by genetic factors, so some experience it far sooner/later than others
So ur DHT gets lower but h become FARRRR more sensitive to id. That’s why when ur old you can have lower DHT than a 16 year old but still experience far more DHT effects
+ it shrinks hair over time = older = thinner

its shouldve been enough time to be out the gene pool

it could be, bc its caused by dht which is useless after puberty, could it be that we aren't meant to live past 16 ?

Because it’s more of a hormonal issue rather than a genetic one. DHT sensitivity plays a big role in how much balding you get which is a genetic trait but DHT itself is what makes you bald and everyone has it so the Norwood reaper will eventually collect even if you have good balding genes

Seems quite Right, i agree to that

Doesn't affect ethnics just mayos btw

because back in the day it was usually the father who chose the man his daughter will reproduce with, and thick luscious hair was the last thing he looked for

believers in evolution started balding, if you don't believe it then you will have full hairs

This is a genuinely good question

A few reasons
Firstly people mostly reproduced before balding.
Secondly for a big part of human history women didnt have the power to choose mates. There was alot of unconsentual sex throughout history and alot of pressured mating (arranged marriage, need for food and protection) so they didnt have the luxury to choose.
Thirdly before the internet and major cities you didnt have the luxury to pick someone very good looking because you knew like 12 people.

first point maybe true but evolution get rid of unwanted traits fast, there have been other traits like gene related cosmetic defects that got removed from gene pool

second and third are unlikley because most men didn't actually reproduce so that tells the best genes were passed on so that includes baldness

Not to be rude, i dont think you understand natural selection. Genes that dont influence an organisms fitness get passed on aswell. Baldness didnt evolve in humans, perhaps it had some sort of advantage then with our ancestors protospecies but nowadays similar to other vestigial features like the tailbone or the appendix it just gets passed on because it doesnt provide the organism a significant enough competitive disadvantage to get weeded out. My second and third point are very valid, most of human history women didnt have the luxury to choose based on appearance or atleast to a significant extent like in todays world therefore baldness didnt provide a significant competitive disadvantage and get weeded out.
