Why did my hair change after a bad haircut

A couple months back my hair was somewhat curly and my hair type was 2C-3A but I decided it needed a little bit of cutting so I cut but i messed it up. And now it’s been about 2 months since then and my hour has grown out, but now my hair is flat and has lost all the curls and texture it had. I changed my shampoo from head and shoulders and also my conditioner to a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. My hair is still not as long as it used to be but is close. What could I do and how do i fix it

yea i cut my hair but i completely changed hair type and it’s not like i buzzed it. all i did was cut 2 inches off and now majority of the length is back but this time it doesn’t have the same loose curls and texture it used to have.
