Why did none of these people move out of the way for me

Was walking through an area where a college was nearby so the sidewalk was packed full of college students and I was the only one walking in the opposite direction and not a single one of them made any effort to move out of the way was I supposed to turn into a ghost and walk through them? Like whaa

16-17-18 year olds all of them.
