why did richard ramirez look white as a kid?

in his photo when he was a kid, he looks like hes WHITE WTF and like a really long face , but yeah it doesnt look like him at all

and in this photo he still looks more white than native? im guessing since his parents were Mexican, he probably has mainly native american and european ancestry.

But then when he aged and was a lot older, he looks way more native american looking

How the fuck did this occur? i feel like that baby pic photo, is not actually him, because it doesnt make any sense, it looks like two different people.
