Inversely, there are many serial killers without traumatic or violent pasts. Their tendencies towards violence and rape are just who they were born as tbh.

But I think you're right to some extent too—people can be born that way; I can even think of young kids who have everything going for them but grow up to be fucked-up animal abusers or murderers. Still, I generally think childhood plays a bigger role.
