Why did so many cartoons have whites ?

Why did the cartoons we watched as kids have so many white main characters, but not ethnics or blacks ?

For example:
Adventure time -white character
Ben 10 -white characters
Scooby doo -white characters
Gravity falls - white characters
Fairy odd parents - white characters
Johnny test - white characters

Other popular cartoons like regular show or gum ball, though having non human characters, were heavily given white personalities.
