Why did women in the 80s have better hair?

So much volume, they used hairspray every day and it took them a lot of time to make their hair look great. Girls actually had different haircuts back then.

But nowadays we see all women with the exact same hair.

Literally every girl on the planet has hair like this (girls with short hair are an exception, bangs are also extremely rare). What do you guys think, laziness? Girls still take the time to put on fake up every morning tho.

Hairspray is based tho, I use it at least twice a week to style my hair
