Why do all my friends want me to immediately forgive anybody whenever I get into an argument

It seems like everytime I have an argument with a friend and don’t want to talk to them for more than a day, all my other friends come to me and try to convince me to forget about it and give in. I understand that friends forgive and all that, but folding immediately makes you a bitch that gets all walked over. I’d understand it from a foid, since they are very empathetic and fold super easy, but from my guy friends it’s just surprising.
