Nearly every house in America has got a basement, swimming pool, several bedrooms and multiple garages. How do you guys afford this shit? I live in a shitty cramped 2 bedroom house and somedays you cant even walk through the hallway

I prefer European urban planning tho. Driving everywhere is like being jailed in a neighbourhood. I can go by walk whatever I want in my city

Same here in Australia.

I personally like a small house (maybe like under 250 square metres) because it requires less maintenance.

I dislike the entire idea of joint family living too because less privacy. Privacy is a must for me.

my parents have smaller flat in city which is prob 1100 and a larger seaside house which is 2500.

at uni my student flat was probably 300 sq ft. jfl

Depends on the state. The houses in the picture you posted are expensive and above average size where I live. So not all houses here are big.

Dude 250 sq meters IS A BIG HOUSE lol,

Small is under 100 sq meters, at least if we talk about apartments.

A 100sq meters apartment in my neighbourhood could cost around 350k €

I live in a 70 sq meters apartment (am good with it lol, I like street life, I dont need more). And it is valued around 250k €.

And thats my neighbourhood which is a "bad" one of my city. If we get closer to the beach, there are apartments of 140 sq meters for 1,5M €.

And in the fucking center of the city the average is around 120 sq meters and the prices are extrenly insane. Is like a bubble. Most apartments are used by lawyers, rich hostals, offices...

And in the upper neighbourhoods of the city, apartments and very few houses are much bigger but also extremly expensive, around 1M at least most of them.

The super rich lives in top tier architecture mansions in urbanizations in near towns tot he city. Where the football players live per example.
