No You may not be hitting your fat pad and may cause skin necrosis may be safer 6mm maybe but for context i used 8mm injected straight down which is riskier and went close to the mouth where a lot of nerves are and didnt hit anything. Depens on how lean you/your face is but you should only use it if lean and stubborn face fat. NOT 4mm

Buccal fat pad is way deeper you wont hit it with an 8mm when pinching and stay away from the zygotes what I did was tensed my jaw drew a line in front of the masseter, feel around the cheekbones draw a line under that, and the draw a live above the pertruding part of the mandible. That is your injection zone some people go higher but there are risks of hitting nerves and that is more malar fat you would probs want to use a shorter needle. That is what i did ,not 100% sure if I am correct but i didnt hit anything.
