why do asians have a recessed maxilla?

its really baffling to me that a whole race can suffer from recession in one spot on the face.

The recession is a lot more noticeable when they "ascend" because everything protrudes except for the maxilla which leaves it looking even more caved in.

(If ur Asian reading this don't feel down bcs optimizing everything excluding the maxilla can still push you to lcl or hmtn and thats enough. You could've just looked a lot better but just be happy with what you have.)
