Why do bands make cringey lyrics and artwork

I saw a band and they had art that had that shitty overused plague mask on it and the album was called “The Beast Inside” or some generic shit

And the lead single went like “the war inside hurts us all” or something.

Like how come they do cliche stuff why not be original? Whats funny is this band used to make original sounding stuff. I guess they just want more money
