i think racial tensions have been brewing for a while and only recently(footie cup) did it boil into actions, i imagine it has to do with entitelment and lack of achievement, i've read somewhere(no source) that besides few exceptions, only people with a lack of achievements in their life truly become racist(as it opens a venue for you to feel pride in something,even if you haven't worked a day in your life to make it happen), otherwise it's just a joke to you or you simply don't care because you have better things going for you in your life
