Like, plumbers and electricians pulling 6 figs but still treated like they're subhuman next to some desk drone in a suit. Why is that? I'm an ITcel and pull 6 figures but for some reason people think it's a high status job when I literally get paid to sit in a place and stare at a screen and do like 2 hours of actual work and LDAR the rest of the time. While plumbers, electricians, construction workers who actually do stuff lifting heavy objects, fixing stuff get treated like some second class citizens. Like yes I make the same amount when I'm much younger and yes I have to use my brain instead of muscle but still why such a bad rep?
