And if the other guy is thirsty, this looks weird as usually men who get laid are very calm around women as they don't feel any pressure, so the thirsty man looks like he can't get laid = is unattractive or mentally ill.

So these are the reasons. But most of the time, women don't like to be ignored, it's a sign for being insecure if they like a guy more if he ignores her.

Here's my belief.

It depends if she likes you to begin with...

If she doesn't like you, then she's chasing you because she's insecure. Once you give her the attention she wants, she'll ignore you again. You can't date a woman like this because she doesn't actually like you in the first place, she just wants your attention so she doesn't feel insecure about herself.

If she does like you, then that's just basic supply and demand. The less she gets, the more she wants.
