Why do different shoes make so much difference

Man I know like 1.5cm isn't much really, but it feels like when I wear taller shoes I'm actually kinda tall but when I wear flat sneakers I literally feel like a Manlet. Difference is with most tall shoes I hit 6ft and with flats I'm like 5'11.25"-5'.11.5" (all these near night). Why the fuck do I feel like the difference is very very noticeable....

I feel like a manlet at 186cm and 190 in shoes.
