Depends which ethnics.

Muslim perfumes are from a kind of perfume that is suppossed to endure all day long including the ablution of the 5 daily prayers, so that's why they are kinda strong.

I've smell some indian places and at first i thought it was some bad perfume but then the wife of my uncle told me it's because of their food.

Chinese also have a strange smell, not necessarily bad but it's like when you go in front of it you want to get rid of the R to start speaking with the L and say strange proverbs about snakes and salamanders.
