Mumbai unironically seems to be cleaner. Aside from the favelasque architecture and the pollution. The roads themselves seem to be cleaner and more organised

I realize this too. When I go to other parts of the UK I never see homeless people or very little. But in London I see them all the time, which is giga rich and poor at the same time, disparity is insane. You see people drive Ferraris past people begging on the street.

But in other parts of the country you don't ever see a Ferrari, but everyone is driving Nissans with the occasional BMW.

I never understood what people meant when they said paris is dirty. At least as an american. Everr single city in america except maybe boston is filthy to the core. Hideous architecture, concrete everywhere, everything covered in a thin layer of grease, even in the “nice” areas. Like where are the people saying that from? Vienna ? Zurich? Osaka? It didnt look any more dirty than any other city ive been to. And at least the buildings are pretty

Well Paris is one of the cultural epicenter of the world and it has been for centuries. Thr city has thousands of years of history and has been a place of significant impotance in european cultire. Obviously people will expect paris to look good.

yea american cities are pretty subhuman i heard that before. but if you've been to paris as a tourist it doesn't say much. Hotels are usually in the spots that aren't filthy. like most of berlin is a shithole but as a tourist you wouldn't notice

i think european cities were less trashy and filthy in the 60s and before that
If you watch videos of european cities in the 20th and 19th century you'll notice they seem to be more orderly and clean
But people back then also talked more formal and were less nuts
