It's a common pseudo-argument that I often hear people repeat e.g. that genetics can play a role in bodyfat levels because before modern shit diet there weren't any fat people besides royalty. But that's bs, you can see plenty of fat people in old paintings and art from earlier eras, e.g. fat gladiators, fat people in historical paintings, on church windows, etc. Fat people have always existed in every social class.

sure, fat people always existed, but people never had this much food available throughout history as we do today. it also depends on what you mean by fat. like just a 20-40% fat or morbidly obese like many people today?

on ja, malnourishment is a physical blow akin to an ak-47 spray to the bell curve and would only hide genetic factors because there would be little way of showing them

There were fat people in those old portraits because those portraits were of the upper class, who thought of being fat as a status symbol. The obesity epidemic is something very new and comes from goyslop and sedentary lifestyle.

You need to look up graphs and statistics. Even Mississippi and Alabama had low obesity rates in the ‘90s, much lower than any state now, people are being poisoned and deathly looksminned en masse.
