Why do Flat Earthers believe there's a conspiracy to hide "Earth's real shape"?

What would the government and space agencies gain from hiding Earth's "plane shape"?

I can understand they hiding alien bodies, technologies, etc., but "Earth's real shape" is something I can't understand.

What's the problem with these snowflakes?
